Don't take this as gospel, but as far as I understand it should be fine as long as the beetle chassis is unmodified, and the Porsche body is bolted to it as the beetle body would've been.

Depends on when it was done. A Beetle has a longer wheelbase than a 911, so that chassis has definitely been shortened...

I really like that Vorsche or Polkswagen..... But is this not close to "real" Porsche money?

It looks the part, but I'm not a fan of that lack of tinware in the engine bay. Makes me wonder what else might not have been done so well/be missing.
I'd rather have a Covin at £10k ish tbh.

Good Covins are now going for more than that, especially with more legal documentation behind them.
But agreed!

It looks like its a complete 911 body so I don't understand how its been registered as a VW. That engine puts out more power than the original unit.

... it's a 911 body over a beetle chassis ... I understood it´s a complete, genuine 911 shell, only with beetle running gear. Got to admit: I don´t know if 911s can be separated from their chassis at all?! No Monocoque.

It looks like its a complete 911 body so I don't understand how its been registered as a VW. That engine puts out more power than the original unit. If it's on a VW chassis that'll be why. The Allegro 4x4 Estate that's been around a while www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Austin-Allegro-Estate-Suzuki-Grand-Vitara/162920641329?hash=item25eed3b331:g:uvYAAOSwbkVaEzE8 is registered as a Suzuki as that's the chassis it's using. I know with the Allegro the original chassis was unmodified and it retained enough points to avoid IVA, but as misteralz has mentioned above I'm not so sure about the VW 911. If on the other hand it is a complete Porsche monocoque shell then that's a whole different kettle of fish. Either way I think it's buyer beware with this one (and a lot of other radically modified cars these days).

With Webber IDA carbs...
You own the damn thing, least you could do is read the name on the side of it and spell it right...
Same goes for the guys with ads to their Alpha Romero, and / or Camero.

If that's a 911 shell, and it's registered as a VW, then surely it's just a 911 that's a very obvious ringer?
