I've got a 1275 Midget gearbox that needs a rebuild. I'd like to give it a go myself, but it's hard finding the time, so was wondering if anyone knew of any decent gearbox specialists in the south east that I could get it to? I'm located in Canterbury, Kent.

I have just had my MGB gearbox done at Heathrow Transmissions, near er... Heathrow. I had rebuilt my box myself and messed it up but they have sorted it out. Got the car assembled back together yesterday and had a first test drive. Excellent! Full recommendation.

Any thing manual gearbox that needs rebuilding at work and we use Paul Matthews transmission services. He located near/in Ulcombe behind the Percival Motor company car sales site  Usually quite fairly priced, as the Manta 5speed he rebuilt for me severl years ago was 150quid |

The best gearbox person is apparently called Gearboxman; his company is called CTS. He's based in Dunstable.
