Don't want to rain on your parade, but the reflectors/rear foglights are a UK legal and MOT requirement.
If you lose those originals, you'll only have to fit them somewhere else!

Smaller reverse light & fog light either side of new plate location?

I think it looks better original tbh.
FWIW you can incorporate reverse and fog lights in the original rear light clusters (one side each), my Aristo and Fairlady were both done like that.

Olduns that's just what I was looking for. Thank you for saving your wrist for one last job!! Under the rear lights there is now a red reflective strip. Is that from the light cluster above it?

I think that's a half tidy answer to the rear reflector problem! You will also have to organize some number plate lights to stay legal! It's all very well to say fit temp ones for MOT, but what about Plod following you down the road? Better to keep it legal than have have a car that screams "Nick me!" at every cop around. Trust me, been there, done that, it's not worth the hassle! Steve

Is that from the light cluster above it? just thought it might be a subtle answer to one part of the equation...as it looks like we're now into the territory of legality some one with more knowledge can tell us if legal or not?

On my old skyline I fitted a fog light in with the brake light. It was a twin element bulb. As for reversing lights I would look at fitting small led strips somewhere. Or as the rear indicators are clear doing something with a 2nd bulb fixing in there.

Convert the side reflectors to a side light? I've seen a few done on vag cars and it looks good.

They're actually side markers already.

Late to the party on this because of a cold but here's what I'd do: 1) Lose the rear light eyebrows 2) Incorporate reverse lights up there so indicators and reverse lights are in the clear part of the lamp 3) Foglights on JDM cars are always half-a$$ed on the ship from japan. All it really needs is a neater flush install - maybe get some aux lights off an audi q5 or something and you'll get something a lot more tidy. 4) Remove side markers for reasons of same halfords-part-bin-special installation 5) Plate needs a bit of a bumper re-work to fit so it's not pointing upwards - something like this rebate in the lower section will do it 6) Get a nice Gloria badge to fit in the space left where the old plate was - it looks a bit too ricer / empty with nothing there - a badge keeps things classy. 7) Don't forget to illuminate the license plate! 8) Not on this photoshop, but I'd go down a few mm on the exhaust - I can tell it's not a stealth sleeper but it could afford to be a bit more refined and not lose any of the amazing attitude it has.
