I’ve always liked the original Prius with the rear wheel covers.
They make me think of a retro 1950s view of the future so whilst modern they’re retro modern. Just needs lowering and a brushed aluminium wrap.
I actually like the Renault Zoe too because of it’s smooth front end. The lack of requirement for a grill and radiator cooling opens up a whole world of smoothing potential, somewhere that Tesla fail imho is knowing how to style the front end without a need for a grill.

I can’t get my head around this thread sorry Modern cars?? old cars don't need potential because they are old cars!! Challenge for you then, Find a cool looking Leyland Sherpa. I know it goes against the grain of this thread but I've yet to see anything other than a straight forward restoration that looks good. I'd be pleased to be proven wrong.

I have to confess I had to swap my perfectly good Maestro Van for a Sherpa when they decided to multi skill us decades back ( I joined when it was Brtish Telecom ) and I went through two in a matter of months. They were bloody awful.

I can’t get my head around this thread sorry Modern cars?? They are the garnish on the roads that make our interesting old cars stand out. Like the out of focus background on an artisitically taken photograph when the photographer has used a wide apperture setting.

Just add some chunkier tyres and that'd be as.... I remember reading a road test on the 4x4 Sherpa back in the day apparently it kept going well after the Range Rover support vehicle got stuck. I always thought it was a County conversion same as the Transit but it was a Ferguson set up.

I know Reynold Boughtons in Amersham did the developement work for Ford on the Transit, never knew there was 4x4 Sherpa. I don't think they sold many. My older brother used to be a butcher they got rid of their Sherpas because they had a habit of falling over when carrying hanging meat I doubt lifting them would have helped with stability. I didn't know Reynold Boughtons had anything to with the Transit mine was a County conversion I thought they'd designed them

My possibly next purchase belongs here. Looking for a cheap replacement for my Inca I found one of these. I spotted one on the road the other week and it struck an oddball note with me. Dihatsu Sirion the one locally for sale is £295 looks like cheap to tax and insure as it’s a 1 litre. Can anyone do the lows and wheels?? 😬😬😬

I was thinking a bit more like this - I reckon these, despite being butters now, are something of a future classic. Like a fiesta/nova of old they are disposable transport that we might think fondly of in years to come. 🙂
