This is quite an interesting thread for me. I emailed Street Machine magazine last week to ask whether they could possibly bring back their 'Custom Profile' feature that they used to do back in the day. I was quite surprised to get an email back so quickly from their Ed, Dave Smith. Basically, I suggested that there is a whole manner of stuff out there now ripe for some profiling, stuff like first gen Picasso and Zafira and the like. To cut a few emails short, hopefully, there MAY be something in the future, SM giving us a different slant on, say, a Punto or Corsa. These are the kind of cars that are modified but could be done brilliantly with some new ideas. The Motorvation feature in the mag has done some fabulous work with cars like, in this months issue, a Leaf and a Prius...... Yes, everything has potential, inspiration and ideas turn potential into reality.

I quite agree that everything does have potential, even the prius.
Some have the potential to be parts donors (do they have electric power steering?)
Others have the potential to be dog food tins.
But at least those who have a go are providing us with some entertainment and they might just spark a shot of inspiration of trying a similar idea on something a bit less insipid.

Oh great ... Barryboys attitude raises its head. 2) If you haven't got something constructive to say, say nothingSure this is stifling your freedom of expression, however I'm not interested in cars you don't like, I'm interested in cars you do. Conducting oneself in a positive manner will result in positivity. Thanks. Point taken. Apologies.

Don’t know about ‘Cool’ .... but ... Hard to explain, but i think “modern’ stuff is harder to ‘modify’ as its all been done before, and i tend to think” i saw that on a *insert vehicle here* years ago” when someone does something.... and for no reason other than that i like them ......

Some one very skillfully made a proper 2-door coupe of a 75. Looked awesome!

The Motorvation feature in the mag has done some fabulous work with cars like, in this months issue, a Leaf and a Prius...... Dave gives me total free rein on what I put into the Motorvation pages. He doesn't know what he's going to get until he sees it. After I got a Kia Rio into issue 1, I knew I'd be able to have some fun! When I sent over the Prius and Leaf for the current issue, he didn't bat an eyelid! Here's a few of the more unusual choices I've squeezed in so far... Go and buy Street Machine everyone! :-)
