Regretfully selling my Subaru Forester S Turbo
1999
Silver
Automatic
125,000miles
Good points:
Had a full 60,000 mike service at Surrey Subaru last year. All fluids, full checkover, wipers, led front bulbs, front discs and pads £1000 I have paperwork for this and Surrey Subaru keep records to validate this. They said it was a tidy Forester
Recently fitted Legacy alloys with new tyres
Just had a Haywood and Scott backbox fitted at cost of £300 gives a nice Scooby rumble but civilised (my daughter sleeps happily on car journeys)
Just had Pedders lowering kit fitted at cost of £800 takes it down to Impreza height, much nicer ride than coilovers.
Very clean interior.
Paintwork in good condition overall.
Runs nicely no smoke, banging, knocks or crunches.
New 555 seatcover fitted on drivers seat.
All electrics work
air con is ice cold
Heated seats
Two working fobs
no advisories on last mot
logbook s full of stamps
ive barely used it since all the above was done, it does the odd weekend run to the in laws on the coast.
Bad points:
Small amount of lacquer peel on bumper
Couple of very light marks to body
Slight crinkling to tinted windows at the edges, only noticeable close
Engine management light has flashed on for a few seconds a couple of times over a year.
Auto gearbox takes a couple of seconds to engage first from cold. Surrey Subaru said this was just wear and tear and nothing to be concerned about. A gearbox refurb would be 400-500, hasn’t bothered me.
mot due July
Viewing N London. No tyre kickers, test drive with insurance and cash on my hand cheers
a nice appreciating classic, could be driven as is, my plan was to remap and boost the turbo or replace it to go full wrx/sti.
Interested in trades for a boring estate. Toyota Avensis.
Based in N London, no time wasters please. No test pilots without cash in my hand and insurance arranged cheers.
