they're all a bit curse word really, retain all the compromises and poor geometry of standard road chassis, remove any semblance of aerodynamics of the factory shell, rarely actually light at all, and rarely add any power, a bit pointless really.
if you want a Seven or an atom, build a seven or an atom! or a MEV etc.

What about doing this to a scimitar chassis? Retain the chassis, engine and suspension for necessary points and get rid of the heavy body shell. Granted not sure how nice it would look but certainly some performance gain from weight loss.
