Thought I'd share some photos I took last weekend. There where around 200 cars as a couple car hoarders estate where being sold. Unfortunately there where so many people and it was so cramped that I struggled to get far away enough to get good pics or there where people in the way. Some interesting cars though. This 3 door sierra was cool. Recaro interior but not from a cosworth as the pattern was red. I'm not sure what other sierras had recaro seats with matching door cards. Nice warmed over pinto on Webers Quite a bit of less common J stuff there. This van was cool and a great alternative to a VW cool Honda No idea what these carbs are. are they standard? Skoda sounded as good as it looks Fiat was in exceptional condition and had bags of potential 260z My favourite car there. low, loud and mean. Mk2 cortina with shorrock supercharger I do like a Mk3 Granada. Not a fan of the hatchback version though. This hadn't seen the road in a long time I've never seen a Ghia S before I've got some more pics if anyone is interested. Good thing to go to for only £5 entry anyway

I really want to get along to a classic auction at some point (preferably with some money in my pocket)

Is there a list of classic car auctions in the UK ? A few of the larger auctions here; www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/auctionsI find H&H is worth watching, they have auctions throughout the UK. The number of lots will increase as you get closer to the date of the auction, there'll also be a few cheaper cars. I've seen lots with no reserve selling for a fraction of their actual value at their Chateau Impney auction, e.g. if you'd turned up with £30K in your pocket you could have driven home in a £70K car. www.handh.co.uk/

OOOOHHH 1600e with a supercharger Yes please!!!!! Took a while to start, the way its set up it has to draw the fuel all the way through the supercharger before it gets to the engine. Sounded great when up and running

Definitely some interesting cars there I was thinking "If only I knew this was on I could have gone myself" But then again If I had of gone I would only be kicking myself for missing out on some nice cars that I don't have space or funds to own

Heres the rest of the pics I have of the auction. It was so busy I was quite limited to what I could get but heres a snapshot first up Cortinas. I love a cortina, my Dads had loads and its what I grew up with Loads of Mk3's, I particularly like the dash in the early ones Mk5's. Low mileage, mint condition Low mileage, mint condition and a 2 door. This still had the plastic on the door cards I do like a corsair. Couldnt see any rust on this one Original V4 Tiger! Frog! Stang! Staag! This spitfire looked great from a metre away but you could feel the filler underneath. I think white hides it quite well. Shame Interior was nice though Mk1 escort project typically went for a lot of money. Good bones on it though Plenty of early MGB roadsters Great dash on these This TR7 had very low mileage and was mint. They look miles better as a convertable And some more J stuff Twin turbo mitsubishi gto. 4wd i think? This big Datsun barge was cool. 2 door too. Note the imitation mustang rear lights. Cheeky buggars Engine same as 240Z? Cool little starlet. Shame it wouldn't start I thought this Honda had potential. 2 door with pop up headlights etc but when it started it would only run on 2 and stank! Datsun 100Y? This van looked brand new inside which I imagine is pretty rare for a van. Cool too And that is about it I'm afraid

There's a bit in Classic Car about how rare MKIII Cortina's are then this comes up, I guess Quentin doesn't frequent Anglia auctions! The 2 door MKV Cortina would be fun, I could relive my early company car days for £1,900 (Cortina MKIV 1.6L) and an Avenger Tiger (but £16K). 1999 Jaguar S type for £900 and the 3 door Sierra 'only' made £6K. Lot 80 for georgeb and it didn't sell.

The mk1 Escort looks like a similar colour scheme to the Goblin Works mk2
