Hi All
Had been reading some of the great threads on here in the last week so said I may as well join up.
Here are my 3 Classic Fords.
-MK 3 Capri: Currently running a carb'ed 2.8 for the moment. Bought it with 2.8 fitted but have plans to change it.
-Mk3 Cortina: Red, 1600 XL Auto.
-MK3 Cortina: Blue, 1300L now running a 2.0 Zetec Blacktop, and currently being restored
I'll add photos of each car from threads I have on other forums.

I can't see any pictures? Just little X's Hmmmm. I can see all images on phone and laptop, when I'm signed and signed out. I'm using postimage to host the photos, what do others on here use? Or can anyone else see them? |

most use FlickR but the preferred method is our own uploader - look below and it say drop image or click here to upload. Built in to the site.

Those are some nice Fords! Thanking you. seen first pic and said IRISH ,whats THE CRACK OWEN IN DERRY HERE ,love the motors heres mine [img ! Cheers,zetec Cortina is Irish as well. Red Cortina is an English car, imported over 10 years ago. That's a lovely fiesta. Have always liked them. I hope to get a mk2 or 3 fiesta again sometime, mk1s are out of my budget now unfortunately. Do you go to many of the Ford shows or other shows. I hope to get up to the Ford fair In June and Kilbroney this year. |

Re: converting auto to manual
I have a 1600 Auto mk3 Cortina and considering converting it to manual.
I already have a full 1300 xflow and 4 speed gearbox set up from my other Cortina.

Red cortina:
Currently 1600 automatic
Blue cortina:
It started out a 1300 xflow, and 4 speed manual, but has had a 2.0 zetec installed Now.
So I'm hoping to use much as I can from I took out of the blue car.
But wondering
What other parts would I need for the conversion?
Pedal box?
Driveshaft?
Or are there any how to guides out there online?

i got a 2.0 gt 3.0gt workshop capri manual from desmond s motors, retrived after IRA blew garage up 1972 weights about 5 lbs , mates da was body shop boss also got escort rs 2000 workshopmanaual haynes if your interested , ive a 73 viva estae 36000 miles wouls sell swap trade for something

Re: The manuals, good books to have, how much would you be looking for the capri one? Assume its a mk1 capri if it was around in 1972. I know a man with a mk1 capri that may be interested in it |
