Are you sure it's not been planted there has a genuine barn find by some speculative e bay seller ? lol - Seriously though this has been worth hiding away and like you say costing you nothing - now with the amount of panels being made available it will make very viable project

Is this a start of a Build Thread?
Please let it be?
Another vote for Lagoon Blue here.

It's great when someone has kept a car for that amount of time. I've had my mk1 for nearly 21 years and still have the receipt for £100 written on the back of half an old envelope. When I redid mine 10 years ago it was Expressed or Hadrian panels. With Magnum doing these panels too Expressed have recently slashed their Escort 1 & 2 prices so a good time to be doing one. Keep us updated.

Mine has been passed around the family for some years (over 30), had 11yrs off the road in a damp barn and then I resurrected it 3yrs ago, get cracking it will guarantee to get your giggle muscles in overdrive when it's back on the road. Mine does and it's only a little 1360.

Well that was fortunate. Always nice to find something in the garage that you'd forgotten about... Like you, when I was a young teenager, myself and a pal had a '68 that we got for free. It was a non runner that we managed to get running. Eventually, after a summer if tinkering & underage driving, it went off to the scrapper (even though it was properly straight) as back then neither of us had the money or place to keep it! It was just an old escort that was pretty much worthless..Hindsight eh? On the subject of having a car for a long time, I've had my 124 spider since 1989. Holy crapola! That means I'll have it 30 years next year! Looking forward to seeing some progress on your Mk1 rollingcoal. Bookmarked! CFD

I bought a '51 Vanguard in 1985. It was driven almost as much as my newer cars for a few years and has sat in my garage at my parents' place ever since. My eldest has had his eye on it for some time now so it may live again one of these years.

I love the Mk1. Had to sell my shell mid resto to buy a family car. Managed to keep the estate though. I wish you luck in the work man!
