There is only one real way of finding out and that is to trial a section - I have dyed plain cloth seats but never ones with patterned inserts on them - best bet is take a seat out and see if you can source a spare piece of cloth on the underside to trial on - only thing is with that is that it's been hidden under the seat it will be not be faded - probably going to have to be a go for for it type job. From experience I would highly recommend removing the covers from the seat frames & padding prior to dying them if this is the route that you take otherwise the padding / sponge absorbs the dye at different rates in different areas on the seat and can leave the seat blotchy in areas - hence resolving one problem and gaining another. I can highly recommend the product range of 'The Furniture Clinic' (link below) which I have used on several occasions and had excellent results both with their leather / fabric recolouring kits. www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/Fabric_Care_Products

Are they actually faded, or simply have very ingrained dirt? Might be worth trying a good shampooing first.
