This year I will be pro active on this forum, this is a place that I visit nearly every day to see the talent, creativity and attention to detail that you friendly lot take the time to regularly post, so I will do my best to post some of my motoring antics from now on, and not just be a (very) long time lurker!!!
So, for you unlucky (or hungover) ones that were not able to make it to Brooklands for New Year's Day, this is just a minuscule of what was there, there truly was something for everyone.
Happy New Year
Sweet Mk1 with the ole girl
Parked nearby
This place is Banked
Long too
There were planes
Plane bits
The kid in me started to come out as I got closer......
You should have heard it
What is under the bonnet.....anyone?
Did I say it was banked?
Phwoarrrr
This guy flew in.....went and had a closer look
Love these Dunlop alloys....on most things
So much to see up close
Bucket list.... non "S", as time has gone on I gravitate to the early ones
.GOV website said year of manufacture 1938!!!!! The brave guy was strapping on his lid and leaving as the rain started
Another want.......
I can't quite get over how imposing this car must have been when it was new
Took this for my cousin Sol.....he loves em
The kind staff with the workshop at the top of the hill opened their doors to the public, I took the picture through a window as this part wasn't accessible, all panels hand rolled on site,
And I think the Mk2 was their parts chaser.....had a zetec and a roll cage
I had a great day, stayed much longer than I thought I would, met some very interesting people, took a load more pics, maybe ill put some more on here if you guys are interested.
Came back to find this cool split nearby.
Anyway....again....to you all.....Happy New Year
