I'm looking at new cars and have found one that looks like a good project, a Vauxhall but with a b204 lump in it! However, it was originally a diesel but now it's a petrol and out of MOT. I wouldn't usually worry, but I'm thinking about MOT emissions, would it be likely that it would fail as it would probably still be tested as a diesel? I believe it's still down as a 1.7 diesel on the logbook, if the V5 was updated would that allow it to be tested under petrol regs? It's a 2008 so not strictly RR, but I know there's a lot of knowledgeable people on here, so if theres any input that would be great!
