I have one - and it's going to be tough for me but here goes. My driveway to my garage/workshop is exactly 67 inches wide. I keep buying cars too wide and having to get others to work on my car which I really don't like. SAAB 900's fit, 9000 doesn't, 95 doesn't, e30 bmw does, VW camper does...... When it can't get up there and something needs fixing it's always a pain in the . Expensive too. I won't buy any cars over 67 inches wide. If anyone knows a site that has the width of every car ever made, I would love to know and grab some data as to what I am restricted to. Any other resolutions?

I'll fix my cars to a better standard.
I'll also lower my expectations to a more reasonable standard. This is why I didn't buy top not bits for the M3 ; oh wait.

I'm going to finish a project a month. January - My Beetle engine out, fix and put back. February - Wife's T25, fix starter wiring, fit split charge system and 240v hookup, fit sink and hob. March onwards - blow resolution and finish January's tasks before starting February's by around November.

Make new bumpers for the '38. Search for, get together and replace all the goosed interior plastics. Lace the roof! Do a roadtrip.

What have you been buying for your m3? My plans for this year are to leave the escort mk2 in the garage, get my Capri back from restoration and probably park that up for a bit. I’ve got a z4 I inherited which I need to get sorted as my sister wants it at her wedding as it was our dads car. My m3 I’ve currently got no front suspension on it as I’m doing a refresh job on it. Once that’s done. I’ll start on the back, it’s abit too new I think for here.

My plan is not to be so obsessed with getting my golf done, stressing about it and prioritising it over more important things I have going on. It’s not a race, it’ll still be in the shed next year..... believe, that’s a really big ask for me...

To get the car in the garage, that was only meant to be in there for a few months, back out and sorted ... after almost two years.
I will do this, this year.
Or one year. A year. At some point.

Once that’s done. I’ll start on the back, it’s abit too new I think for here. Yikes, your refresh sounds expensive! Are you going stock? I've just bought the following: -Genuine Prop Guibo and Prop Bearing with carrier ; I don't want to do that job again and I'm not really looking forward to being full underneath the car! -X8R mid-section to back box clamps with gaskets. -Castrol 10W60 Oil ; OK, that was an ECP specialist The Guibo and Bearing are a job I've put off ever since I bought the car ; the guibo has a crack on it and there is a clunk/noise coming from the bearing area with a vibration that comes and goes and 50MPH and 80ish. I'll be adding soon to the list: -New thermostat (Wahler or Genuine) with BMW or G48 coolant -Rod bearings as an insurance policy given the mileage and age of my car ; it's had a bearing recall previously at some point ; How pricey are S54 engines? -Wheel refurb (my fault) or get the CSL copies. ; that will be miles away. I was debating selling it last year but no matter how you look at it no package with that level of stuff comes cheap except the 350z, where you lose practicality and an engine note. Last year wasn't cheap however ; I could have gone cheaper in some bits but previous cars have bitten me very hard where I have done against my better judgement. theleylandlegends.wordpress.com/category/car-ownership/bmw-e46-m3/?order=ascI'd love a CSL airbox but it's about priorities. It sounds like you will be a busy man this year! What's up with your Z4?

I am going to concentrate on one vehicle and get it sorted!
This does mean that first I need to get the black puding mobile so that I can move it to a mates garage.
The order for the year will then be:
Range Rover P38 - finish updating the centre console with a shiny new sat-nav which other than general maintenance will complete the vehicle.
Yellow Scimitar - get cracking!
Oh, and I'll stop lusting over or even looking at any other cars on ebay!

I'll be quite honest with you, I still haven't finished my car based aims and resolutions from 2009 thru' 2014. I'll keep plugging at those until they're done, then maybe we can look at some new ones!

Don’t sell the Monaro!.......There will no doubt be several occasions when the thought will cross my mind. I must remember that I haven’t loved a car this much in a long long time (the last time was when I sold my 964 because my daughter was due and I didn’t think I could afford both) everything else can wait until I can afford it. Selling the monaro to fund anything else would be regretted! This car makes me happy

Same one as last year that I failed on....to actually get my SIMCA 1200S coupe back on the road. It'a been off the road since the original owner took it off in 1977. It has to be finished in 2018 as other projects are waiting and they'll have dissolved rust wwise if left much longer..!!
