I recently took the plunge and purchased this in Japan.. Car is a 1976 KGC110 Skyline, L20 Engine with Triple Mikuni Solex Carbs, Squatting on RS-Watanabe wheels. It took me 18 months to find one within my budget, for anybody who knows the Classic Japanese market very well, they will know that these have absolutely rocketed in price in recent years and are already becoming a little bit 'out of reach' in terms of their values. They only made 197 GT-R Versions of this car, Purely Japanese Domestic Market only.. The Japanese are very reluctant to sell these cars outside of Japan now due to their rarity and history within Japan and it was a real challenge buying this one. My *soon to do* Plans are as follows : -Lower the car more -New Interior Carpets/Mats -Rebuilt L30 Engine going in -Front Splitter to be fitted There are more jobs to do yet, little bits and pieces around the car, so stay tuned! Here are some photos from it on the docks at Japan : The car was purchased from Hokkaido and Transported to Kobe, where it was brought over on the ship by Torque GT. Here is the car in the UK, On the back of the transporter to be delivered to me : The weather has been shocking this weekend, So I haven't managed to get any more photos as of yet, but i'll be posting updates of the work I will undertake on the car right here.

Absolute dream car. Used to wonder what the fuss was with the Kenmeri but I think I might prefer the way they look to the Hakosuka now. Real swagger to them.

Well done Sir. So happy that someone in UK was willing to dig deep in their pockets and bring one over. This is the only C110 coupe that is registered on our roads to the best of my knowledge. I am aware of another that is undergoing a resto.
Hope to see it in person one day !
Oh and I approve your to_do list 😉

This is indeed the only one registered on the roads here, one is also undergoing resto at the gtr shop - its just spent a few years in latvia I beleive? They are going for the garage masuda look if I'm not mistaken, this will edge towards Kyusha once i'm finished with it.

Credit where it's due;there is a growing appreciation here in UK of classic Japanese cars but sadly many folk still don't have the confidence to spend serious dollars on one. Yet the irony is that they would spend twice if not thrice that on an escort ! :-) Your example looks super nice and an excellent platform to start from and I am sure once done, it's going to be awesome. It already is in my eyes... I regret not buying the C110 that is now with the GTR shop. It was here in UK before being exported and then imported back.( with a price increase). But the time wasn't right as I was partway through my GC10 resto. Oh well,. Keep the updates coming please.

When I got my 15 year old RX7 over from Japan, there wasn't a single spec of rust on it, every bolt, fixing, etc was like new, even though it had done 70k. I think it lived by the sea as well, because the cavities had this fine, white sand in them. It's crazy how our cheap-solution road grit destroys cars over here so quickly.
Same as - Last year I imported a Forester Sti Turbo as they were JDM only. It was pure white, 12 years old and absolutely MINT. As you say, every nut bolt and fixing were as new. Even underneath you could eat your dinner off of. The buyer when I sold it couldn't believe it!
OP - Awesome looking car. Bet your rear end was twitching waiting for it to arrive and hope its as good as you were hoping.
