 My Uncle had a Renault 30, I remember there being a couple about (in Renault Vel Satis numbers maybe) I thought at the time it was one of only a few nice looking renaults ever made. Not sure how many (non retro riders) people know they even existed Mostly pillaged for their gearboxes to build GT40 replica kit cars.... |

My brother in law was one of the few that bought a Renault 30 new, it broke his heart and wallet, he could only get rid of it by trading against a new Skoda Estelle two years later.

Mostly pillaged for their gearboxes to build GT40 replica kit cars.... I raided my step brothers chrome mirrors off his for my Victor My old mate put a deposit on one then changed his mind & bought (I think) an SD1 instead. They have the same engine as my Delorean |

In between a Peugeot 504 Ti and a Talbot Alpine. |

Peugeot 304. My parents had an estate in the 80s and it was quite a rare sight then. The only one I can recall seeing in,in person, in recent years was a convertible. The usual image search shows up just a couple of UK registered estates so I'll guess there are only a handfull of these still existing.  |

 ^^^12 whole valves if my memory serves  ^^^these seemed as common as astras and golfs. When Fiat was a serious consideration! i think it’s always mid size Fords that seem to vanish over night. Mk1/2 Mondeos were every forth car, then bang! A rare sight. Not exactly forgotten but you know what I’m saying |

Growing up in the late 70s and early 80s this selection of j cars were everywhere My dad vowed never to buy one and stayed loyal to British makes Most of these rotted away within five years A schoolmates Dad had a lovely white Toyota CROWN coupe, lovely car but in the summer those vinyl seats burnt your legs!!       |
