I’ve been playing with cars for years as has everyone on this great forum, my question is what’s the best and worst add on in your opinion?? I will set the ball rolling Without doubt the best accessory has to be a nice set of wheels The worst??? Chrome wheel arches!! Just why?

Chrome wheel arches are awesome! If for no other reason than they hide your bubbly crusty arches on your old Ford!

clothes maketh the man....wheels maketh the car! first thing to get attached to any new purchase of mine though would be a head unit or lights on alarm if either wasn't fitted.

Obviously some like them & they may even be practical. But I've never liked external sun-shades/visors Aftermarket plastic wheel trims should be less controversial, always designed to accomodate the worst possible wheel offsets for easy curb scraping.

All my vehicles have towbars. It is compulsory. Mud flaps are a good thing too. Also roof racks.

I hate trinket gatherers - owners who just have to have every possible option / chrome trim / fly catcher / modified widget bolted to what was a nice car before they started !

You need to wear legwarmers to match those wiper-arm covers.

Bolt on accessories, as with most things there's a right way to do it. And the other way......

You need to wear legwarmers to match those wiper-arm covers. I do, I try and look like Leeroy from fame. I feel sick.

Baby on board signs, I fcuking hate these with a passion. Especially as they are used to excuse the driver's curse word driving instead of their intended purpose.

A lot of tat came out of the 80's. Door reflector strips, anti static strips, extra reflectors, those chrome arches you get in minis, mercs and grannys. Triumph after market stuff in particular seems overly curse word. Namely the oil feed to the head addon that consists of a pipe that tees off off the pressure sensor to the head. Great at forcing oil down the guides

Explain how is that a bolt on accessory? Quite simple, you un-do some bolts, take some bits off & bolt some different bits on. Rocket science it ain’t
