Hi guys I have 2 rare american cars and both require windscreens and a few bits of chrome trim, now it's almost impossible finding any for sale so just wondering if there are any individuals or companies out there that can make made to measure glass for windscreens or chrome trims for external bodywork, just need a couple of straight chrome trims.
Thanks in advance!

There are specialists out there in the market that will make a custom windscreen for you however - they will require a jig in which to form the windscreen and if they have to make the said jig from scratch you are well enroute to spending several thousand £ - you might be lucky if a company already has a jig for the said models but you mention the word rare and a states built vehicle - I somewhat doubt it but you will need to exhaust all chances of finding the screens elsewhere or a specialist windscreen manufacture that may hold a jig. Listed below is a contact for the countries leading automotive glazing wholesaler who may be able to point you in the right direction www.pughs.co.uk/Alternatively try www.pilkington.com/en-gb/uk/automotive/classic-car-glass

Thanks in advance! You cant post that request and not even mention what the cars are? Who knows, someone here might just have what you need; you never know! As to custom glass, last I actually saw this done, it cost about 10k to get done. That would include the pattern and I think 4 or 5 windshields. It was for a custom chopped show-car. A further question would be if the glass needs to have some form of certification embedded in the assembly?

China seems to be the place to get this sort of thing done, one of the members of the Midas Owners club organised a group buy of custom made (heated) screens via Ricky Evans Motorsport in Tamworth. They did need an original screen to make a pattern.

Hi, a few ideas : What cars? (in case anyone reading this has a screeen or knows where there is one) Ask on "other" forums (rumor has it RR isn't the only car forum on the net, start with the Yank / Custom ones) Owner clubs etc? (pub trivia - new screens are being made for my 70s Brit motor in mainland europe using the original screen moulds, Weird !) Roof chop to to suit a screen you can get? Pics & info please

Yes might have been an idea to mention cars! 68 Dodge Monaco coupe and a 58 Pontiac Star Chief, as much as I'd like to chop the Pontiac I'm going for an original resto on both!

Have you tried DB Motors in Leicestershire? We use him to source any American car glass we need at work.
