Painting alloys - what paint is highly rated?

If you can get to a proper motor factors go for bigger 500 ml tins. Try to paint all four at the same time. If your just doing the outer faces then three tins should do. Make sure the area around the valve is spotless especially on the inside if you are taking the tyres off.
1 500 ml can of etch primer - use light coats and share it equally.
2 500 ml cans of top coat - one light dust coat then light wet coats and keep coating until covered. If there is still paint in the tins put extra on the outer rim and around the wheel nut holes.
If you have them blasted you will need to do inner and outer so add one extra tin of each primer and top coat. apply extra paint on the mounting face, bead area and wheel nut area.

We sell the autotek 500ml tins for £4.95, its good paint. If you get stuck I'll sort some out and you can collect from your closest FPS depot. I can't post them, I don't think the post office will take them.

another shout for Montana paint. I wouldn't bother with proper paints, graffiti paint was made by satan to do naughty things with. defo durable. its not easy to remove. you can get different nozzles for different purposes too which may help painting these wheels of yours.

if you're down in brighton ever theres an art shop on Portland road with a massive range of Montana paints at reasonable prices and an auto paint shop over the road. they're well priced too.
