Also, because we don't have ongoing MOT's in Canada (Just initial certification and biennial emissions test - so, used cars seem much cheaper in the UK.
That said, years ago, I read an article about a guy who only bought cheap high mileage used cars - replaced critical elements (brake hoses etc) and drove it till dead. (I should have kept the article)
Leading to my question - not looking for a hobby car here but a daily.
I drive about 30,000 km per year so it has to be reliable. I won't buy new because I hate paying big bucks for a car.
1. Older lower mileage car?
2. New higher mileage car?
3. Other options?
