Only one. My super mint Triumph 2000 estate, and it wasn't even for sale! For a time I worked at a caravan dealers, so it was always parked on the forecourt and one day a random guy walked in and offered me stupid money for it. I was that gobsmacked, I said yes! It became a parts hauler for the guy's fleet of Ferraris. Stupid boy! The only upside was being dropped off outside my local in the guy's chauffer driven Merc Limo.

My Nova GTE, had 11 Nova's in my life but this one was just perfect, bought it standard and added some decent suspension and the 16's. Adored it and it wanted it for nothing, it was seriously cool having this car at 18 and in college though my insurance was a joke but living at home and having a decent part time job paid for it. Sold it in 2002 and still miss it now, sadly a Nova GTE is now well out of my price range.

I've had a few cars over the years but the one I kick myself most for selling was a BMW 635CSI Highline. I knew of this car from when it was bought new by a local business man who then owned it until around 2005 when it disappeared. The car turned up for sale locally a few years later and at last, I finally owned it after cosseting the thing for more than twenty years. It was in need of an MOT and was a bit tired to be honest, the back end of the body around the rear subframe mounts and spare wheel well in particular was getting to be a bit rusty. It drove superbly though so I got it through the MOT after having it a while and then I hardly used it, happy just to own the car. Well, a couple of years later I stupidly sold it (edit - virtually gave it away) just before the prices went mental and it passed through a couple of owners before being up for sale at a Dealers this summer for almost ten times what I sold it for. It has been resprayed and the leather looks to have been recoloured to be fair but has the underside rot been sorted out... I'd still own it again in a heartbeat though but alas, I don't suppose I ever will. Silly boy.

crappy ford telstar, still mechanically ok after 500,000 k's- bit smoky at times but the body started dissolving, so.............. sold it to someone wanting a paddock racer. Few days later a bloke rigs me to say he's got a telstar with a blown motor still regd/w.o.f.ed & it was off to the scrap yard if i didn't want it. Win some, lose some

I keep looking on ebay for one at the same spec but can only ever find 5 doors or autos.

My Mk2 Granada 2.8 Ghia X. I picked it from a farmer near Bury st Edmonds for £300. He had about 20 and his other half was making him get rid. That would have been around feb 2010. I drove it for a year and a bit, adding Granada Cosworth alloys and doing little bits here and there. The gearbox went bang a few days before I was about to go on a 4 month detachment so for some reason I told the recovery bloke to keep it. Biggest regret of my life. It was a good old bus and only let me down once when the propshaft doughnut disintegrated. it not been taxed or MOT'd since it expired in 2011 so i reckon its gone round the banger track My MG ZR was something I've since regretted selling but that I think is mainly down to how utterly unreliable the Mk5 golf Gti that replaced it has been. It never let me down, handled like a go-kart and seemed quick for a 1.4. A much better hot hatch than the golf. traded it in for £150, I did see it with a new owner a few times afterwards but I reckon its been scrapped now How long ago did you sell the ZR? Reg looks familiar, I even owned it or owned one with a very similar reg

Several I shouldnt have sold because I'd love em now, Mk 2 Daytona yellow RS2000 with Type 9 and big valve head, running on super sticky Yokohama's it stuck like baby poo to a blanket. I sold it 3 times. took 2 deposits when the buyer never came back, the 3rd guy bought it for the princley sum of £1500!! worth about 20 x that now!! that was in 1989 Mk 1 Golf GTI 1600 in black FGH 8 X sold for £800 Mk 2 3.0 Capri Ghia in white with BVR WPB 560M... yes an M reg Mk 2! sold for £500 J Reg navy blue TR6 sold for £2200 with Hard and soft tops, that car was Fast for its day But the one I regret most was a 1991 964 911 in Grand prix white. Done 50k miles and FPSH, sold for £16k in 2003. Would be worth £50k plus now
Never ever selling my Mk 1 Mexico. Sebring red, steel bubble arches, Jeff Harris engine.....it is hot, noisey, uncomfortable, bouncy and absolutely wonderfull!!

My Mini. Bought it for £350, sold it a year later for £50 as the front end was rotten. Checking the DVLA website now, it appears it's white and got about the same miles on it as when I sold it. Something tells me the one on the road now isn't what it says it is...
