Biggest regret selling, my first car, Mk1 Suzuki swift gti, I bought it from my brother in 1994 then Isold it in 1997 after three years of ownership, I didn't actually need to sell it as I had the room to keep it and didn't need the money but my friend hounded me for ages to sell it to him, I told him if he ever sold it I wanted it back. He sold it to some prat in a nightclub who wrote it off, I've not spoken to him in 20 years lol. Biggest regret/missed opportunity, I had the chance and monies to buy a Lamborghini Espada S3 back in very the early 2000's, it was a restored car, absolutely amazing, but I talked myself out of it even though I had a modern daily that was free (company vehicle) a nice garage to keep it etc etc etc I was worried about running costs, but in hindsight I could of just left it as a garage queen and made mega money on it by now. But hey ho. (Crys onto kindle)

I sold a Corolla Compressor when my son was born as it wasn't the most practical or comfortable car for the family, in hindsight I should've kept it and bought the Bora TDi that replaced as a second car.

Sold this perfectly good Volvo 142 in 2005 way too cheap. Bought a Volvo 164 instead that only was a lot of trouble.

There are a few I would like to still have now but I had to sell when I needed the cash ..... e30 325i 2 door, 911 SC 3.0 and 840i but I wouldn't consider those "shouldn't haves" as I didn't really have the option.
The only one I really shouldn't have sold was the Subaru SVX I had. I let it go for peanuts. I didn't need to sell it. It was super reliable. It was very clean and always drew attention. I put over 50,000 km on it in a year and with a manual swap and a small bit of suspension work I think would have been actual fun to drive.

My E36 Touring. Well, I didn't sell it, but I parted it out. Bought it 8 years ago, because I always wanted a black E36 Touring ever since my dad had one when I was 11. Spent the next few years of my life pouring a lot of blood, sweat and tears into it until it looked like this with a full and rare as hell AC Schnitzer body kit. Car gave me a lot of trouble over the year and when the engine finally died I just couldn't get myself motivated to do a swap. Should have just stored it away somewhere.. And then there's my E34. Car was pretty beat and I bought it for 600€ which was a absolute steal considering it was a 525i 24v manual with leather, PDC, a/c, sunroof, 4x electric windows... Sold it half a year later cause I got annoyed by the manual in a daily. In hindsight I should've kept it and turned it into a project. The base was solid but the car needed a lot of work - but a similar E34 today would be around 2 - 3 grand easily.

Technically I gave this one away :-( It looks like a proper nail in these photos, but it had had a rough couple of weeks leading up to that point, I get run into, (odd replacement bumper) and lived in a 4th floor flat so no facilities for washing it (this was before the invention of the illegal immigrant car wash). the second picture tells the real tale of why I loved this car, hmmmm V6.... 100_0727 by Pete Black, on Flickr 100_0731 by Pete Black, on Flickr

Due to demands for money from the landlord of my flat, I had to sell a rather nice and quick (it had the high compression M20B25 straight six engine) gloss black BMW E30 2-door 325iSE, F424 GUF, which was in good condition and was a terrific drive - in fact, far better than a rather ropey and rusty 1989 325i Sport with low compression engine that I later bought.
It did at least go to a good home, up in Hertfordshire somewhere, although a DVLA vehicle check reveals it hasn't been taxed and MOT'd since August of this year...

If I knew then what I knew now, I shouldn't have sold my first car, 95 Fiesta Classic. It was a decent little car, just failed its MoT on emmissions. After chasing some daft stuff I just gave up and sold it for £400. adam73bgt shouldn't have sold that bloody 750i

1993 VW T4 Transporter 1.9d that I converted into a camper, it was getting rusty and I wanted a BMW.
2008 MK5 Golf GTI 3dr in black, 1 p/o, fsh, car was perfect and was the base spec model (actually wanted that) Sold it with my parent head on, in reality it would have been fine.
Those are the only 2 car's I really regret selling out of the 25/6ish that I have owned.
2001 Caddyvan almost made the list, but Mrs wouldn't drive it and I made £800 on it lol

Sold this in a pifff of rage, emissions and gearbox issues. Replaced it with this Vandalised, plus head gasket failure when moving house forced swap for this Couldn't afford commute, on 25mpg! Ran for a while and sold on. I'd have any of them 3 back.

Oh god, where to begin.... Lets go for WMA 990M, a 1973 Mazda RX3 coupe with a Rover V8. Young dumb and full of nothing resembling mechanical skill. Broke her up and the shell went to ReWorx or somewhere. Still hate myself for it. Such a fun car.
