Hi guys,
I appreciate it's not quite as retro as it could be, and probably carries a touch more technology than your average retro car.. but heres a question.
I have a 1996 Toyota Paseo with a factory alarm system. Alot of people want to shut alarm tweets up, however mine doesn't make any form of chirp and I'd like one.
Therefore, is there any kind of way I can retro fit an alarm chirp into my factory alarm system?
An idea I have (and is probably so incorrect it hurts) is that there must be a wire from my alarm system to the hazard lights to illuminate them twice on unlock and once on lock (and once for a period on second lock). Would it be possible to wire in a chirp somewhere there so that if you put the hazard lights on in emergency, the chirp wouldn't sound, but would when power goes through the alarm system?
I'm hoping there's going to be some technical gurus here that could provide an answer to this which is fairly simple... and even may be suggestions on where I can find such chirp noise makers...
Thanks in advance.
Sam
