1988 Peugeot 205 "junior" 954cc. Being a '88 you get to old style light clusters but the new style interior and engine. Gearbox is a 4 speed. Low miles for the year, around 42000, and is in pretty good condition. The engine and 'box are near perfect, having benefited from a new clutch and head gasket (due to an oil leak rather than failure) in my tenure, as well as new front calipers and driveshafts. Has MOT until January I think.
Modifications:
- GTi front Bilstein struts and Eibach springs.
- GTi torsion bars and ARB fitted to the original axle (as it was in good condition).
- The wheels are 13x7 ford Capri pepper pots with the centres machined out to suit the Peugeot hubs.
- I have also removed the plastic trim from the boot.
- Inside the only change is a "period" instrument cluster, the Smiths Datamaster", this is attached to the coin tray banking plate so would be very easy to put back to original (there is no visible damage to the dash)
I have all the original suspension parts and wheels as well as the following bits I never got a chance to put on, these will come with the car if you wnat them
- 4, 106 speedline 14" wheels
- GTi front subframe
- New rear break drums (was an advisory on the MOT)
- BMW k100 throttle bodies, for an injection conversion

Unfortunately all the pictures have disappeared.
The bad points
- Dent in the passenger side door. It has been like this since I have had it, it's not that noticeable TBH as it follows the swage line
- The drivers seat has started to fray at the top edge due to UV damage I assume
- There are a few areas of paint that need attention
- Its pretty slow (45 BHP for the factory) although it will just about keep up with traffic
All in all its a great little car and I will be sad to see it go. Mechanically very good and pretty presentable, I just don't get to use it enough to justify keeping it anymore. It has been very reliable, having taken me all over the country on various trips out and camping holidays. The only show stopping breakdown I have had was due to the ignition switch falling apart and it turning itself off on the motorway. This was a 30 minute fix once it was towed back home.
I will take and upload some more pictures as soon as I get a chance (the pic at the top is from this years gathering BTW so is pretty recent) if there is anything you want a picture of let me know and I will try to oblige.
Thanks for looking
