	I need Help! Does anybody know their way around 2 stroke motors? I am getting compression. I'm getting fuel through. The voltage at the spark plug is 2volts dc when trying to fire it up via pull-cord. Resistance between earth on spark plug & metal housing near flywheel/pull-cord is virtually none existent. I had to shorten the HT lead and make it come out a different part of the casing as the copper was rotten towards the end as the end screws on & into the cable to make the connection. The flywheel has been cleaned so has the other part which sits next to it to generate electricity for the spark Any idea what I am doing wrong & why it won't fire up? The engine is on a compactor/wacker/walking foot/trench rammer which I need for building a drive. Thanks in advance

	If you actually have a spark take the airfilter assembly off and cover 90% of the carb intake with your hand then try and start it. You might need 2 people. At a guess the compression is down and or the main bearings and oil seals are worn. Try it with some easy start. Edit it looks like the airfilter might be missing, it will be worn out if it's been run like that for any length of time, try some easy start.

	Hi, The flywheel is aligned on the crankshaft by a Woodruff key, make sure that is still there and in the right place they have a habit of disintegrating and the timing goes to pot. Colin

The airfilter assembly was removed, the pipe from the carb to the filter holder was smashed. Once the engine is running I was going to get a replacement or make one. 	Pop plug out and hold it against body while cranking and see how strong spark is?
