thanks for looking at this, ive fitted my microsquirt and used an odd ball coil pack that looks like it should be ideal but there's little info out there for it, can you help? its a GM pt no 1103872 wasted spark coil pack from a late 90s corsa astra and vectras. its big has a nice heat sink on the back and apparently will run happly on the trigger signal straight from the microsquirt. this is the only web page i can find on it. coil pack pagehelp please. cheers nick the VW coil is plan B as unfortunately i didn't find out about it till after id bough wired and fitted the GM one the problem is i cant get it to start except around 118 deg after tach trigger which should be 90(trigger wheel offset) and when it dose fire it sounds odd ill have to record it. a bit like a 2 stroke motorbike sort of. i also have the problem that i cant check the crank trigger is looking ok as the logging and high speed logger bit is greyed out in tuner studio, prob because I'm using microsquirt. Have you got it firing the right amount of times? Ie set for wasted spark rather than single coil with a dizzy.
When I megasquirted my 106 with watsed spark I cocked the settings up and it fired both coils at the same time, and that sounded like a 2 stroke. It actually drove though,.

flashed the new code in checked the crank sensor all ok, spent 10 mins putting the settings in loaded an ignition map and it only bloody started took a bit a while to realise the coil pack was nowt special and gave it basic settings and it fired.
apart from getting the trigger off set changed to 80deg i cant see what I've done different. don't care it runs.
so correct settings for GM 1103872 coil pack running on microsquirt ms2extra are spark out put going high (actually goes low inverted(see mirosquirt data) cranking and nominal dwell 3ms spark duration 1ms
