Like it! But I vote GTa crosspoke alloys rather than banded steels, cos I like them a lot! What sort of 'power unit' does it have?

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Retro enough? It`s either retro or it isnt, and if they`re not part of the traffic anymore, a regular feature in Tesco`s car park or the kind of thing non-car people are likely to be looking to buy, then it`s retro as far as I`m concerned. I think these early Metros meet this criteria therefore is Retro.

You got any bigger pics of it? Looks like one of the very last MK2's judging by the Rover Metro wing mirrors which were standard fit on some later cars. I've got a feeling that it won't suit banded steelies. That's best left for MK1's You don't want to lower by letting the hydragas out There is a guide on Metro power but there website is down at the minute. The guide is for K-Series cars though. The only difference between them is that the K-Series hydragas is linked together, whereas the A-Series is only linked at the rear with the fronts independant.

I like Metro's. I shouldn't, but I do. And anything that is considered landfill or otherwise curse word earns extra coolness points in my view! Check out Slater's Readers Rides thread to see how to lower hydragas suspension. 1.8 VVT K-Series would be sweet in an ideal world. But if it's a 1275 then there must be well established mods to squeeze the maximum amount of British ponies from the engine!

(let the hydrospastic down ) don't! It'll handle like curse word and ruin the rest of the suspension over time. Follow the Guide on MetroPower and do it properly, a Days work but it'll look and handle better.
