Going to get 4 15 inch steel wheels sandblasted and I'm going to try my hand at painting them ! How much etch primer will I need to paint them? And if I use my HVLP spray gun, how much thinners will I need for the primer ? Will this be too much linkThanks

You will only need a litre to do 4 wheels - never heard of the stuff in the link (brand name) you would be far better going to your local automotive paint factors and see what they recommend - wheels take a hammering so choose a premium brand for your primer & paint - it will be money well spent at this stage rather that having paint jump off the wheels within a few months - the thinners required will all depend on the product but again use a local factor and they will advise you accordingly - the good guys should also be able to furnish you with the MDS (material data sheets) for the products that they sell you - Chris

Thanks, if it's just a litre, perhaps I could use rattle cans?
Not really done any spraying with any kind of compressor, so cans will be much easier for me and I'm not looking for a show winning finish, just something without too many runs and tidy!
