my friend Adrian had a rally prepared triumph vitesse , used for historic rallying 20 odd years ago . He bought it and took it back to standard interior , etc , drove it for 2 years . He sold it to a local proffessor ,who the last we heard was doing a full body of resto , but that was a long time ago .another friend needed an indicator switch for his spitefire , so i said id call with rob , owner of the vitesse. well it turns out he is liven between n ireland and spain ,and is selling all his triumph spares , hearld ,witesse etc . took retirement so now wants to pull back from teaching and cars , i happened to ask what happened to the vitesse , he opens the garage ,and there it sat fully restored ,..... and for sale , i asked if it was Adrians ole one , i thought it was his car , and reg looked similar . IT was . well he said i want 4k for it , Adrian will buy that , he said he can have it forless lol Adrian will now be reunited with his ole car on wed all goes well

Nice to be reunited with an old car - my wife has just sold her mk1 Golf cab back to a previous owner. Not who she bought it from, but the one before that! He's dead chuffed, and has agreed to offer it back to Em if he ever decides to sell in the future.

I managed to find a friend's old Mini a little while ago, his fiancée wanted to buy it back for him as a wedding gift, but the person who owns it now never got back to me. I tried to contact them a couple of times to no avail. Now I just keep an eye out for any Minis being sold in the area in the hopes it reappears!

Not a car, but In 1976 at school I made a gate as part of my cse exam, when my parents moved house the gate was put into safe keeping with my grandmother, alas when my grandmother died I thought that I had lost the gate forever, but a few of months ago I put up a post on the village facebook page, and tonight I was sent this picture. The gate will be home on Friday (And this is the power of facebook) This was the gate in 1976 (and my first cat which my parents gave me for my 17th birthday) This is is yesterday (I'm collecting it tomorrow)
