A fab event including impressive aircraft mixed with cars and bikes all on show.
The Vintage 1954 Avro Shackleton, a descendant of the legendary Lancaster bomber is owned by Retro Rides member Phil Woods, phil2600s, and his Dad and is being restored back to flight. We're hoping to raise some funds to help this along while having some good fun too.
The aircraft will be open during the day, with no barriers around her so you're able to get in and around it as much as you want. We'll also be running her up at some point during the day...Four Supercharged 37 litre V12 Rolls Royce Griffon engines producing 10'000hp is something you'll not forget in a hurry!
There will be food available, fixed wing and rotary pleasure flights subject to availability, and a professional photographer to take photos of your car/bike with the Shackleton at the end of the day for a small fee.
Entry for classic and retro cars is £7 and bikes £3.50 and everything goes towards the maintenance and restoration of the aircraft.
We're space limited so we could do with an idea of who would like to attend!
See you there!
