Long story short;
A friend had engine issues so I popped round to find two spark plugs had fallen apart. The real issue is as follows... the head was taken off, cam locking kit bought, head replaced. No provisions were made for correct sequences - I suspect and you can probably tell. He's now having issues with the timing chain (getting it back together) as I think he must have taken a misguided shortcut and unbolted the sprockets to remove the head. I'm popping around on Thursday to help.
My question.
Is there any way (without a major strip down) of finding out if he's got it on the firing stroke or not? If not and it's 180 degrees out, I'm guessing (hoping) I'll be able to slip the cams to get it correct?
Sorry if it's a stupid question but I've never tinkered with Vauxhall.
