Actually, the corsa cabrio was quite common over here. It was sold as a Holden Barina. The Corsa / Barina is factory in as much as they were sold by the manufacturer. However they left the production line as a normal Corsa and were then set about with an angle grinder. IIRC the Barinas were imported as tin tops and then converted in Australia by HSV. I found a set of the instructions on where to cut a while ago - no idea what I did with them though.

Ever since I had one I always thought these would look good as a convertible. Can't find the original picture I had but managed to rustle this up outta Google. ('Scuse the bodykit.)

My mates gran has a Riley elf. Which is a convertible she won it as a prize. Very nice looking old thing Aswell. And I seen a Crayford fiesta convertible and a mk1 mini too. That'll be a Heinz 57 one then Made by crayford and given by Heinz soups To celebrate 57 varieties of its soup So yes only 57 built...think they may have all been the wolseley version though??? Unrelated but 'interesting' fact, the 57 of Heinz 57 is a complete misnomer, they've never had 57 varieties of anything, soup included. Henry Heinz just thought it was a cool thing to have on his products.

Walked out my front door to be greeted by one of those this morning. One of the local old dears going to the shop in it no less! I've seen more ragtop versions of the Austin/Nash Metropolitan than I have tin tops.

You used the wrong picture there, you want one of these for the Skoda. I don't see the difference?

It's funny that there's an FD in the OP... I've not seen that one before, looks Murican... because it's actually quite nicely done. Mazda RX7 FD Up till now the only converted FDs I've seen have been one-offs by Japanese tuning houses and suffer from feature all the highly questionable unique taste bypasses only the Japanese are capable of...* Holy overhangs, Batman! This one was a massive feature in M*x P*wer, so you can draw your own conclusions for that. RE:Amemiya; titan of rotary tuning, manufacturer of some of the most desirable aftermarket parts and solus runner of RX-7s in the JGTC for many years. And originators of some of the most despicably ugly cars ever to blight the planet's roads, anywhere. The bus Corvette lights are probably the bit that upsets me most, oddly * crossings out so this post can be read in the spirit of RR positivity

Ax convertibles there were a couple of companies offering conversions, the bb's are the prettiest. Can't imagine how much strengthening it took or how flimsy they are!
