Sorry for lack of pics atm. But I'll get some;)
Ive just acquired a vintage pillar drill. I was looking at fobco etc but found something a bit odd i couldn't pass up...
It looks to be 40s or earlier but could be wrong.
Runs a 240v NECO motor on the back and gearing is changed by moving the belt..
Now the wierd bit is that it says THE PROGRESS on the side. On a stamped brass plate.
The later Elliot progress drills arnt at all the same as they were called "progress by elliot"
Does anyone have any idea of age? Or any idea where I could find more info?
Looking to restore and use but would love some history of it. Previous owner just got given it.. no back story...
