Hi Trying to get hold of a bellhousing for a 4 speed, type 5 gearbox to 2.8 Cologne V6. Would be interested on full gearbox if you don't want to just sell the bellhousing
Cheers Andy 07860 274834

Apparently the scimitar had the integral bellhousing version of the box - Type F? And not the Type 5 with separate bellhousing as fitted to Capri's and Granadas.

No Scimitars have integral Bellhousings.
Essex powered cars had the four speed type 5, LH overdrive type 5, J type overdrive type F, or BW35/C3 autos.
Later 2.8 carb Cologne versions had the (longer mainshaft) type F with J type overdrive or the C3 auto.
The last 2.9i Middlebridge had type 9 or A4LD auto.
The 1.6 CVH SS1 uses the 4 pot type 9.
The K series Sabre uses the V6 2.8 type 9 with a Caterham Bellhousing.
How far out are the type 9 bellhousings? I sold my alloy bellhousing but have several steel ones. Maybe an adaptor plate will be quicker/easier than an elusive Bellhousing?
