Lotus Elite, 1980 reg GVR69V,
Currently on SORN, new style V5.
44,000 Miles.
Paintwork has cleaned up nicely, very presentable.
The engine bay is very tidy and I have the engine
running from a fuel can.
The electrics in general all work, lights, wiper, indicator's, etc.
The clutch is free, gears select and I believe the brakes are free, the brake and clutch pedals operate.
The interior is presentable, but is faded and there are some tears in the material. Headlining removed.
Chassis appears to all be sound. The rear cross member is solid in the centre, either side of that there is a spot welded plate on each lower part of the box section. It would need seam welding nowadays due to more stringent MOT rules requiring continuous weld. I have spoken with various Lotus Enthusiasts who agree that is acceptable, though if you are carrying out a full restoration new galvanised chassis are available for £500, all parts for this car are available new.
Elites are getting desirable and being discovered now as a great design of its time.
Please call to discuss, I am a Club Lotus member and happy to chat!

Since then it's cosmetic condition has been improved!
