Taken on "Poo in the Park" tour with Pup 1. That's Quirino Grandstand in the background which is used by the Great and the Good when they have a bit of a do or a Pope pops in, or something. And taken (with two very hungry pre-lunch Filipinas) on it's very first 'big' trip out. Hundred-odd kms to Subic Bay. If I'd known then what I know now! God, those wheels just had to go.

Car not in shot but this was my final viewpoint from a nice drive today. Started off visiting a nice little meet at the Black Swan at Ockham. I recommend. On days like these, I feel pretty damn lucky to live amongst these hills. Mind you, it was also the roads around here that forced me to notch the ride height up a bit. Trying to keep the right balance of go with show..... Anyone else get out anywhere good?

Got all the niggles sorted, got my wheels back and all looking tidy. Took it up Mumbles way, where I got to test out how the exhaust really sounded rather than going up my road on dodgy wheels....It's now the daily for the next few months

Promising forecast for today so up early, quick wash of the car and over to Brooklands for the Classic Breakfast. Very enjoyable, great variety and lovely relaxed vibe as always at Brooklands. Never seen a Fiat 124 look this good before. That'll be the impact of a good set of wheels and the perfect ride height then - Effortlessly perfect cockpit. Almost dropped it in the cafe racer thread but maybe a bit high end.....

Few tyre marks from a bit of sliding around though. Does it often end up with car clubs or whatever up there? Load of porsches, 3 lotus 7 replicas, austin cambridge, vw buggy and a wizard roadster. oh, and a peugeot 205 'junior' D which was rather cool!

A pretty normal drive home from the garage earlier this evening. At least the weather has finally perked up a bit. Always makes the view more enjoyable.

That drive looks like my worst nightmare, if there are two cars waiting at any junction on my trip it's a traffic jam I'd get bored as hell if I was in a dull modern car. But I'm not so its all OK and the traffic is usally fine at the times I do it. I like that I check the time on the Westminster clock as I drive by.
