So, I bought this Alfa back in 2012, and still own it now which makes it the longest car I`ve ever owned....by quite some distance! I bought it with all good intentions of getting it restored, and keeping it as a minter/weekend car with values already starting to rocket. However, after being ripped off by one Alfa specialist in Chesterfield who went bust whilst "working" on my car, ending up £800 out of pocket, then trusting someone off these boards to do the same work, only to find 6 months later not only had it not been started, but the windscreen had been cracked and the drivers wing mirror knocked off while in their care, things came to a standstill! Since then, it`s been sat in the back of my dry unit and forgotten about.
It`s definitely a project. It needs welding. It`s had new sills sort of fitted, but these will need looking at/finishing off. It comes with both rear arch repair panels, ready to be welded into place. Needs the boot floor doing, and both footwells. That`s about all welding wise. I`ve never had the car started. The fuel was stale when I bought it, so tried to get it going from a can. It fired up, but would instantly cut out. I`m guessing either the airflow meter or fuel pump are knackered. Maybe both. It needs a windscreen and a drivers wing mirror.....and the drivers wind deflector is cracked.
Right now, it`s had all the body kit removed, but comes with the car. The interior has also been removed, and most will come with the car. It`ll need a carpet, and probably a rear seat too.
On the plus side, it`s got a good history, has covered 124k, is a genuine V6 Veloce with full Veloce kit and was treated to a Harvey Baily handling kit prior to being taken off the road. Also has 15" revolutions.
I never intended to sell this, but I need to face facts that it`s sat doing nothing other than being used as a shelf. I`m desperate for space, and could do with the cash right now, so will consider selling to the right person if the price is right. I`m not unrealistic, and know it`s not worth a fortune, but would welcome anyone`s opinions.
I`ve no pictures right now, as it`s covered in about 10,000 cardboard boxes (empty!) tucked away at the back of a unit, blocked in by 2 T25`s a Series 2 Land Rover and a Saab with no wheels.
Foire away with valuations please......
