I only live 2 miles from Wheels day so thought I would warn people - If you do not have a pass from Surrey Street Rodders already - you WILL be forced to park in the main car park with everyone elses Mondeo or whatever - they have stressed locally that there will be 'Zero' exceptions. Just a heads up.

Good shout on the Chatham Dockyard Transport fest. Been a couple of times with my wifes dad and step mum as her step mum's brother and dad are (were) amazing engineers and make model traction engines and steam lorries, sadly her Dad passed away recently so it's a bit sore at the moment. Great day out though!

£8, that's a bit of a jump, it's always been a fiver 'til now. But.... it is for charity. And we do not bat an eyelid paying £3.00 for an overpriced Starbucks etc coffee. It is a full day and even at £2/hr it beats sitting watching a movie. Plus you may meet a mate or two.

I was merely noting the increase.

I was down Dockside today and noticed a few old cars pulling out of the dockyard, did anyone go and grab some photos? I saw some very tasty cars going home along the A2 today and the examples I saw was very nice. I've never considered myself a penny pincher, probably the total other end of the spectrum in all honesty, can't take it when you're gone. That said I can't stomach the entry fee, for me and my missus it's nearly £40 (as I am sure it is for anyone on here) and I just find it a bit steep. Especially when a few years ago we used to have some fantastic meets just 500 meters away. Hopefully some photos surface!

That's mainly the reason I didn't go, fair enough there were other things going on, but £20 to get in was a bit steep! There's an all Ford show down at Aylesford priory this Sunday, which I'll be heading to, bit cheaper at £3, plus I can feed the ducks.

Cost was the reason I didn't go either. For 2 adults & 2 kids it's steep
