We're getting the lads escort ready for the Mot , and I got to wondering how the mot tester would take to the primered sill and arch , you just don't see the primer these days anyone care to add Some pics??

tester wouldn't care one bit, as long as there's a good quality repair.

Maybe that's the next 'scene' after rat look? The 80's/90's banger look

This may as well be primer! one fairly large difference, its not primer so it is water proof, primer is porous, so will not protect the steel.

This: has passed the last 8 MOTs first time. It's good underneath, but the bodywork tide-line has slowly risen over the years... (I am planning to get it painted soon, honest). So long as it meets the requirements, it shouldn't fail.

used to be known as the south east london look. Mk1 and 2 escorts with primered arches was the norm when i was a lad.

Not so much a look as work in progress isn't it though.
And yes you just don't see it. Mainly because if it's modern cars that's got so bad it's going to be scrapped more often than repaired.

used to be known as the south east london look. Mk1 and 2 escorts with primered arches was the norm when i was a lad. In north east london they bothered to prime the whole car Seemed everyone had hot mk1/2 escorts in primer with a rubber boot spoiler.

It looks like some scene gimp just lacquered over grey primer (thus sealing it) is what I meant... It looks rubbish and I cannot believe it is an option.

astra harlequin. theres a bit of a story behind this, basically my 1st astra had a bodyshop restoration, sills wings wheelarches respray. then 3 weeks later a bloke T boned passenger side while he was doing a shortcut through parking spaces in asda to the exit road. kick in the balls, i slapped on a second hand door, front bumper, new pattern wing, drove it to "trax" at silverstone.
