I have another cheap project, it's a not a 300zx or 200nx which have been on my list of cars to own but the mighty 100NX with its 100bhp (If that).
As like most of you I love spotting cars while driving and having a look at old interesting cars in parking lots, so as I was doing my usual Lidl shop I saw in the a lonely old Nissan 100NX in blue parked away from all the modern tat and thought that I can't remember ever liking them or seeing one on the road. I decided park next to it, I finished my shop and walked over to my Eunos and the owner of the 100 was placing items in the boot, we spoke about the cars and she stated that she needs a new car and was going to buy one in a few weeks and got her mechanic was happy to take the car off her hands for free. I said that it must be worth something since she has owned it from new and she has maintained it I said I don't need another car and stated she should try Gumtree before anything else she could see my eyes light up at the thought of owning it we exchanged details and I thought nothing of it.
A week pasted and I got a text to call her, I thought that she would like me to help view her replacement car as I suggested but she said she has brought a new civic from the dealer and she would like to give me the 100 for free. How could I say no to free motoring. I made a cake and brought some chocolates and popped over and had a tea and biscuits (She and her husband are retired teachers and are so lovely) and she handed over the keys- happy days.
The car has 120k and serviced well, has a private plate she was the only owner since new. She had it serviced and MOT last month and it rides well for a K reg car. She gave all items like T top covers and dealer books and receipts.
It's a odd car, it is based on a sunny, and the shell doesn't quite fit, the dash is too high seats to low like a Vauxhall calibra. Its so odd that I love it.
There is a few trim pieces that need attention but over all its 90's goodness is great, its like riding around in a glass bubble.
What!!!!
