I've got a new old stock petrol tank for my hiace camper. The paint on it is very thin and scratches easily so I want to paint it with something long lasting before I fit it, so it doesn't end up covered in surface rust and pin holes like the tank on the van! What do people recommend for paint? I've used POR15 in the past. Any other recommendations? Epoxy paint has been mentioned to me.

Epoxy is good stuff you can't go far wrong with this one (link below) from Bilt Hamber - just make sure that have degreased / lightly keyed the tank up before you apply it - Chris www.bilthamber.com/paints-and-coatings/epoxy-mastic

Thanks chaps sounds like epoxy is the way to go. I used quite a few bilt hammer products and have always been impressed. I will have a look at jotun jotamastic too
