Hi all.
I've an idea in my head for the colour for my new wheels, but the paint place won't do it without a colour code, as they say with odd metallic colours they've had too many people complain that it wasn't the colour they really wanted when it turned up.
Anyone care to give me examples with colour codes for dark metallic browns, or a link to decent colour swatches for the same?

Vw do some nice browns, you should be able to get the code from the colour name. Have a look at new cars and then use the configurator on their website to get the name, you can then phone the service dept up and they should be able to give you the colour code?  |

Pyrite Brown, a BMW Individual Colour is the best I've seen. I had to do a search on that and glad I did. That is a stunning brown! My first car was an older Corvette and it was originally dark brown metallic back in '79 and now the browns are back again.  |

Ford Tawny Brown Metallic (I think)  Really the only colour you should have a mk3 Cortina! |

I knew you lot would rise to the challenge! Spot on cheers, that's been entertaining googling those colours. Good suggestions one and all, with special mention to that Cortina pistonpopper, but Midland Performance & Retro, you win! That's exactly the colour I had in my head, absolutely bang on. Quite dark until the light catches it just so. I'm going to be flatting these bloody wheels for months to achieve the finish that colour deserves though, ain't I? I'll bung up pics as soon as I get them in paint! Thanks all |
