I find with GMG you can spot the fake episodes from a mile away (like the one with Burt Reynolds). The ones where they seem to just build a car with minimal storyline are my favourite, especially warts & all - they show problems during the builds. I was suprised on one episode i watched recently they got a crate motor and it was knackered. Allbeit i think it had sat of a year, but it was toast. They publicly named the company in the episode and their disdain for them. Ive not seen anything with AK that would cause him to leave though, maybe I'm not up on my episodes.. From what I read it was down to the builds being short on time and on budget but IMO you can't blame Richard Rawlings for trying to keep a lid on the spending, it seems to be that AK always wants to build the best car possible no matter the cost which is great as a customer but not great as the man holding the purse I guess. Every single reality build show always seem to have crazy deadlines, back in the days of American Hotrod it was the same and they lost the majority of their staff during the first two seasons. wow, American Hotrod. I had forgotten about that. The old guy kind of got on my nerves towards the end. I do remember the guy with the jaw problem getting fired for poaching alloy wheel designs though.

I loved that show back in the day but it was full of annoying people. The guy with the jaw issue turned up on Wheeler Dealers US a while back.

american hotrod was a great show as they did alot of fabrication which i loved.
Id imagine the sole reason most people left was due to that absolute pillock Dwayne - i remember just watching him giving younger guys trying to learn totally unnecessary hardship would make my blood boil. if i had worked there it would have came to a brawl in the first few days
sad about Aaron though, i met both of the guys last year when i visited GMG. Both had lots of time for me and amazed i had come from Ireland to visit the shop and gave me a signed voucher to have dinner in the GMG bar and grill

The guy with the jaw issue, from American hot rod left to go and work for Chip Foose who most would know had also worked for the late Boyd Coddinton.

I doubt they have completely parted company, they all seem that be mates and RR had his fingers in a lot of pies, probably just a shake up to make more TV shows and more money.....oh and more cars

Vegas rat rods (Welderup) is a fave of mine. Thats propper fabrication and building, and they have some genuinely unique and original ideas. Plus if I'm honest Twiggy Tallant was very much in charge of my attention 😂 even if she was just there as a prop/eye candy. I loved fast n loud when it first came out but it's had its time as far as I'm concerned. Aaron was the creative genius behind most of the monkeys builds and imo they'll struggle without him.

Hadn't he been in a bad stock car crash as a teenager that had left him with nerve damage? think they showed footage of the crash on one of the episodes. Apparently still makes custom wheels: www.newstalgiawheel.com/shop/categories/custom-wheels/curtis-speed

I hope that they give Jason the lead roll, I was watching him and have expected alot more from him after the Pontiac builds. He is a very talented chap and I think he can add that bit more structure to it as they have tried to rid the whole jovial silly parts.
Jason will work alot better inline with Richard in my eyes but does lack a vision which is where the Fast and Loud creative team come in.
Mike the one with a Jaw issue at Byod Coddinton was a massively under valued member of staff there and Chip did the right thing as he is a fantastic metal worker and when you see him now he does seem so much happier in what his doing.

Some days you just need to take a grinder to an inanimate object, just to make your day a tiny bit better!!
