Spend next year cutting up avenger, getting tired of the rattly leaky old p.o.s, 1st got to to get ute out of shed + have decided escort has to go- automatic is too much hassle for semi daily use, owes me too much & theres rust & bog issues under the pretty paint to deal with.
Hope to have Carib mobile before new year, gotta get daughter out of the escort, wagon's better suited for her work & i don't care where she takes that

Have a crankcase machined for my Beetle, so I can build up a decent motor for it - the stock 1500 borrowed from my wife is so slow I've actually not driven the car in four years. Also need a front tyre, polish the paint, fix a couple of blemishes where things have fallen against it, secure the clutch tube in the tunnel, not blow the gearbox up if I do get a motor built...

For me, I just want to keep making slow but steady progress on my '73 Scimitar. I have been picking off odd jobs here and there, and driving it as much as possible in between.
It's always been on the cards that I might fix all the issues it came with and then sell it in the spring. I may still advertise it once I've tackled the cosmetics as so much of the important stuff is done now... but if it doesn't sell I'll be quite happy to keep it. Its a blast to drive and it's proved to be very reliable with a bit of care and attention to fix issues.
If I do end up keeping it, it will get treated to a new Weber 38Dgas fairly soon, and some better exhaust pipes. Later on I'll overhaul the brakes and ultimately stick some new springy bits in each corner.
But I prefer to tackle things in the order that they absolutely need to be tackled, and as the brakes and corners are good enough for now, they can wait. All the mechanical glitches are now resolved, the missing chunks of bodywork are back in (just need repainting) and the rear hatch is now back in full operation on two sturdy hinges.
So I'm going to start the tidying up and prettyfication stuff next.
If I do end up selling it, I'd like to go back to my original plan of getting something British and Pre-1960. Maybe a P4, and turning it into a 40's / 50's Pan-American rally tribute car.

I really really really want to build my autobianchi. It' s in my possession for 6 years already , survived 2 children bring Born , a housemove and me bring made redundant. scavenged all the parts for the build together and I really want to put it together before I probably have to sell it , because our new pub takes too much of our time to tinker with old cars. But I really need to see my visioen in the flesh

Put dragster together, race it, don't die in a burning inferno. Three fine resolutions, especially the last one. because our new pub takes too much of our time Must be a language thing, but I don't understand the problem! Me? Finally get around to doing a brake system rebuild. Got the new braided pipes, got the modulator modification kit (a mere ten hours to fit, if you know what you're doing) just need a new accumulator and some gumption.

Get the last few parts together for the Bluebird, book it into the bodyshop, then get it on the road by summer
Also got a baby due in May so that adds some urgency to get things sorted by then

1.GT6. Weld 2 new rear wings on and source a steel bonnet and repair that too. Have a go at spraying inside and under arches and then decide if I can trust myself to spray the rest. If the bodyworks done by the end of the summer, I'll be happy. Then new glass, wiring, interior, radiator, cam, suspension.... 2.Mini. Get round to welding a new boot floor in(probably wont happen due to above). 3."New daily" decide what I want to get and buy it. Currently faffing between something land rover shaped(series/disco 1/Range Rover classic) or get a sierra estate.

Many plans tho a poorly premature baby shot a lot of this years plans up the backside, and probably next years too Mk1 Metro - fix the front end now I've accumulated the panels Mk1 Mini racer - finish the new motor and put a few miles on it; poor thing only went for an mot and back this year as it didn't seem worth fixing the borked clutch if it was all coming out anyway 100E - fit rear seatbelts and maybe the dhlas' I've had for years Kadett C coupe - decide whether to keep or sell, tho the latter will be hard as I've had it for 20 years! Spi Mini Cooper - get back to my workshop and start the bodywork. This is dependant on my brother shifting his Mini out first, and at that I'll probably tackle the Metro first. Mini pickup - continue to use as a handy workshop storage area as I'll be waaay to busy to start this weldathon for a while!

Buy more cars that I won't necessarily get attached to, enjoy them while I can, then move onto something else.
Sounds odd, but I've already got a long-term project that I've nearly finished and I'm not old enough to insure 'proper' cars

After discovering the joy of remapping to stage 2 Trionic 5.5 ecu on my 9000, changing the air filter and upgrading the shocks and springs A Stage 2 remap has been the biggest thing ever to happen to me with any car regarding performance versus effort. I really need to change the clutch and add a 3" downpipe to reach stage 3. By the end of the year I want to be on stage 4 or 5.

Jag - Find and fit a tidy interior (current one is worn and has cracks and tears in the drivers seat). Fit upgraded CPS bracket, maybe lower supercharger pulley too! Recondition the wheels or maybe bite the bullet and buy some BMW BBS style 5s!
Pug - Actually drive the thing and make a final decision on whether or not to sell her. Lack of storage isn't good for her and it might be time to say goodbye after 15 years of ownership, especially with values on the rise as they are!

Finally get my SIMCA 1200S coupe on the road for its first time since 1977. Once the coupe is done, finish the welding on my supercharged SIMCA 1000SR and put it all back together. Get some more track use out of my SIMCA Rallye 2 ex youngtimer racer. avoid buying anything else while the above is being done... and ... find a new home for my FIAT/SEAT 133 track car

For 2017 I need to get another classic; after selling Margo (see pic below) back in September, I thought I'd have a break from one for a bit. And I did rather enjoy the worry-free experience of only having my modern daily (which works, mostly) and also having a decent amount of room on the drive to park in. However, with Christmas over and the realisation I have idle hands when when i have free time, I need something to tinker with again. Ideally a Scimitar GTE 5 or 6, rough but running and needing a little TLC. Essentially like the one that went for a bargain within 10 miles from my home on eBay the other week I almost persuaded myself to go and look at something from the Rootes Arrow group this weekend, but having seen the @quatermass Scim, I've changed my mind (again). Not least because my welding is abysmal, but after the Midget with it's fibreglass front flip, I learned a lot about fibreglass working, and less metal to weld can only be a good thing for me (or so LowStandards tells me...! ) So the hunt is on to get something ready for RRG 17 (assuming i attend this year....there can only be so many more years i can successfully ride a scooter with curse word brakes down the hill and not end up in A&E!)
