I'm not overly familar with japanese cars that are not 4x4s and this 95 accord control arm arrangement is new to me. just wondering if any honda owners out there have any issue with the upper control arms fouling on larger wheels and what they do to make things fit the way they want. here is a pic of the sticky out piece of metal in question that seems to me to be excessively protuding in the well area..

That don't look right at all, can you get the wheel off and get some more pics? Looks normal to me. Same as my Hyundai XG30, you couldn't sensibly fit anything more that 19"s or 20"s on rubber bands. Don't forget it moves with the wheel so static clearance is maintained.

cheers all, no, i know its meant to be like that, just seemed to be a bit restrictive looking when it comes to putting bigger wheels in there.
doesnt look like the best of designs to me and was just wondering if there really was any limitation under there without having to alter anything.
had to look up an xg30 lol, i think i know that car by another name?

sonata! thats what i thought it was.. Yea, it's visually similar and shares some mechanical parts but otherwise it's different. Loved it, excellent car, only got rid as I wanted something 80's again, otherwise it was flawless, excellent to drive, and very well specc'd.
