great mix of cars, all arched and wide wheels, "phew" love the Anglias, is the green #236 an A40 first glance looked a bit anglia from the front, but grill is austin shaped, thanks for sharing.

These guys have a great page on Facebook. Some brilliant looking cars, some build shots, and some cars for sale. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah it's an A40 (I think). There was a smart more-door Hillman Avenger too but I managed to completely miss it with my crappy snaps. I will have to have a rummage about in Facebook now!

Such a great looking class! I remember reading about it in Retro Ford ages ago and seemed like a bit of an Escort/Anglia benefit event, but there is a great variety of cars out there now! They look great arched with wide 13s too

The classic hot rods are a fantastic formula to watch, especially with some more interesting cars being built recently such as the Talbot Sunbeam photographed above.

I was commentating at Hednesford hope those present could hear me OK. I was made up when the A30 won the final - have followed the team's build of that car over the past year and that was his first ever win with it, a brilliant drive. The green car is indeed an A40, being driven by circuit racer Ryan Polley who is the grandson of Hot Rod racing legend George Polley. I will be at the Wimbledon meeting on the 20th although I probably won't be on the mic, but it'll be good if a meetup can be arranged - hope to see some of you there.
