	So I have two escorts not the expensive one's but a mk5 and a mk5b The radio really struggles in both car's, one has the original ford stereo and the other a aftermarket stereo, Can anyone recommend a amplifier for me please, Lots on the Web but don't know if there any good? Any the fuzzy reception is driving me mad

	Sounds stupid but have you given the aerial a clean? Also check your earth connections

	I had the same issue on the wifes Mk6 escort, i cleaned the connection in the roof and fitted a longer stem, works fine, is yours a roof mount ?
