I seem to keep spotting these for some reason?!
Is it just me or is an advert for a vehicle for sale with pics on the back of a recovery truck or on a trailer just look like someone is trying to turn it quickly?
Even 'barn finds' look better when they're in their natural habitat or at least dragged out into the daylight.
So what's with it with these recovery truck/trailer pics?

some because the car isn t sorned, so on a tariler can t be touched or has just been pulled out of where it is , or is a none runner

Or it's a pile of junk and spends just as much time in a wrecker as the road?
Locally there are quite a few ads that say "never seen snow!" and the picture shows it dirty on a snowy driveway. If the car is for sale here and has lived here it is going to have rust after ten years or so anyway.

Sometimes it's not a bad thing, if you are in the market for whatever is on the back of the truck. There is a fair chance they've paid scrap value for whatever they are selling, so scrap value plus £100 can sometimes get you a deal. Especially if you are local-ish, you can get it dropped off and a deal done in no-time.

^ That's a very good point FJ, thanks for that. Maybe I'll keep an even keener eye out for these!
Cheers

I went to buy a car a few months back, it looked really nice in the pictures, he was a dealer - I got there, he was expecting me, I assumed he would be prepared. The car was on his truck - which was a pain as I had to watch him move the truck, unload the car which took some time that I didn't really have. On the plus side it was much easier to see its dents and blemishes whilst on a raised platform.
It's kind of related to the thread just the other way around
It's one of my pet hates sellers not being ready fur a viewer when your travelling distance and you've said an eta and that your on route.

The reason i used to take pics of vehicals on the back of my recovery (see my avatar) was cos they wernt taxed or insured ( i did garage clearances) so i couldn't park them on the road and i didn't have a driveway, nothing really sinister at all, pluss it's easyer to see under the vehical to check for rust ect and they are untaxed and uninsured your not going to be having much of a test drive are you. Lets face it it only takes ten mins max to take it off and IME veiwers NEVER turn up when they say they will (traffic, late trains ect) so 9 times out of 10 it's a waist of time taking it off till they get there and TBH if you cant wait ten mins to have it unloaded after a 2 hour trip your not that interested in the vehical, i meen 10 mins out of a 4 hour round trip isn't a lot is it, i allways used to tell viewers to txt me ten 20 mins before they got there so i could get it ready to take off but then they just turned up without txting cos they found it suspect i wanted a warning they were coming, like i wanted to warm up a bad starter or something cant really win when eveyboby is suspicious of you as a seller.

He's probably had that many people say they are coming and not actually turn up he thinks buggerit,if they turn up then I will get it ready which I can totally understand as there are far more timewasters around than genuine people
