One of my friends bought a mk2 Astra shell off one of my other mates , I've known of the shell for 10+ years and it's a minter but he never had it on the road as he bought it as a shell , there's no number plates on it and he can't find the v5 so now we're trying to find the reg from the vin number but the dvla and Vauxhall can't help , so does anyone know what we can do as it's almost road ready but with no documents !!

I believe a trade hpi or similar may find it, so the dealer should have been able to help with that.
Unless its been off the road so long that its never made it onto any computerised system

DVLa wont, mainly because of the proliferation of people ringing cars, I tried for a long time to get info on a Vin Number on a car that had the plate sold off of it 20 years earlier and not re-registered. DVLA would not help, eventually I believe the vehicle was scrapped,
