I monitored a well known auction site and this lad popped up in a local garage, traded in and unwanted. I wanted something cheap and reliable and easy to poke about! A couple of hundred quid later I drove him home! The outside is pretty horrible but the inside is very clean and it has only travelled 44K miles. Plus it has 9 months MOT. After a serious clean it started to look much better. As a treat to myself I tinted the rear lights red and removed the Micra badge. It took ages, very sticky. The lovely 'celebration' will come off. Etc. Rubbed some oil into the black trim and it recovered nicely. Given the dents down all one side I WAS going to rattle can it battleship grey or something but now I think not. Going to sort the panels and do some other bits and bobs. Right the drag and drop doesn't work very well. Starting to look a bit better now!

Get the rub strips off! If you have any questions fire away, have a few how to's on the Micra forum, painted headlight reflectors being one! Corsa b coilovers are a win as you can use the whole front setup and use the rear shocks as they are shorter.
Be aware of the back axle shifting over if you do lower it.
Love these cars, get cracking.

So many speed bumps where I live in prob just need a moderate drop.

Get it lowered and drive the long way round.
The wheelbase is so short that even if it has to drag itself over the worst speedbumps it will still get over. The only place I ever grounded mine was into a parking field on wet grass.

Also take note that the lowest part on these is a chuffing great steel cross member that sits below the sump so far less need to worry, that said I did rub through the cross member on mine, it is only bolt on if I remember.

Yeah, that and the lower front suspension arm mounts - they do have a attendance to wear through.

Neither of the windows wind up or down farther than a small crack. So this lunchtime I thought I'd investigate further. Wound the window and WHOOSH the entire window drops down into the door. Clouds are gathering overhead. Whip the door panel off and wrangle the pane back up and tape it. A tip remembered from Wheeler Dealers! A bit of examination reveals that one of the plastic window grips has snapped so I'm hoping I can cobble one together. Not sure if such a small component of the window mech can be sourced. I'm suspecting the exact same problem with the other door.

Pulled off the horrible trim. It was damn sticky but rewarding. I bought some GOO GONE which is OK it's made out of petrol and lemons I think but I think I need some standard unleaded to get the gunk off. Just glad it is round the edges not covering the entire back surface of the trim. The Wrong side. www.imageupload.co.uk/images/2016/09/22/IMG_3661.jpg

I had that exact problem with my drivers window, I got some windscreen adhesive and glued the window back in the plastic clip thing, lasted until I killed the car.

Removed the rear wiper and bunged the hole. 'Celebration' decal just peeled off EZ PZ, wish all the trim was that easy. post image

Got an early (no badge) rear numberpalte light down here, and a pair of pop out windows if you fancy diving down to the south coast with a box of bulmers.
